Job summary

JobRx, Inc. is seeking a Pharmacy Project Tech to perform extensive administrative functions supporting departmental operations. As a certified pharmacy technician, you will prepare, compound, and dispense medical orders under the supervision of a registered pharmacist.

This role emphasizes project coordination, staff scheduling, audit activities, SOP development, and training of pharmacy technicians, along with inventory and supply management. Strong communication with customers is essential.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of a Pharmacy Technician training program or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician license with Idaho Board of Pharmacy.

Pharmacy Project Tech

Performs extensive administrative functions to support departmental operations. As a certified pharmacy technician, prepares, compounds, and dispenses medical orders/prescriptions under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinates and performs department needs for projects, reporting, research, meetings, and committee work
  • Provides department administrative support, including scheduling of staff
  • Performs functions related to auditing both inter- and intra-departmental processes, and/or completes audit requests from external entities
  • Participates in Standard Operating Procedure development and posting as assigned
  • Participates in the development and training of pharmacy technicians
  • Performs duties of a Certified Pharmacy Technician, including inventory and supply management
  • Communicates effectively with customers
  • Maintains comprehensive working knowledge of the department functions and processes
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
  • Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function
  • Competent to meet age specific needs of the unit assigned
Requirements and Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Graduate of a Pharmacy Technician training program or equivalent work experience preferred
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician license with the Idaho Board of Pharmacy
  • Must have Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) status through an organization approved by the Idaho Board of Pharmacy
  • Minimum 2 years' experience as a pharmacy technician required
  • Demonstrated expertise in pharmacy systems
  • Demonstrated ability to use computer skills including keyboarding and practical data entry into data based software programs
  • BLS required. Current AHA Healthcare provider, America Red Cross, AHA Health Saver or KH BLS during General Orientation
Working Conditions
  • Must be able to lift or move up to 25 lbs
  • Must be able to maintain a standing and/or sitting position
  • Typical equipment used in a clinical job
  • Must be able to stoop, crouch or bend
