Job summary

UCHealth Anschutz Outpatient Pavilion in Aurora, CO seeks a Pharmacy Technician Buyer to contribute clinical knowledge and value analysis to supply chain and product selection.

The role is on-site, with day shifts, paying $25.80-$38.70 per hour, requiring PHATP/PHAT and CPhT credentials, 3 years of experience, and a high school diploma, plus collaboration with clinicians and vendors for cost savings.

• Solicits input of clinical leaders to achieve customer satisfaction with product selection and use.
• Liaises between department, internal customers, and vendors to communicate and resolve issues including pricing discrepancies and contract management.
• Demonstrates critical thinking, decisive judgment and ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.

Summary

Contributes clinical knowledge and value analysis to support supply chain activities and to optimize pharmacy product selection, evaluation, use and implementation.

Responsibilities:

• Analyzes product data from a variety of sources and develops a classification schema. Develops rules to ensure the accurate classification and cross-referencing of products used.
• Develops, implements, and monitors a value analysis process to ensure the appropriate and efficient use of clinical products and to identify cost-savings and quality improvement opportunities. Collaborates on clinical product evaluation and selection processes.
• Solicits the input of clinical leaders to achieve customer satisfaction with product selection and use.
• Serves as a liaison between department, internal customers, and vendors to communicate and resolve issues, including pricing discrepancies, product conversions, inventory control practices, contract management and vendor support.
• Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.

Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED.
• PHATP (Pharmacy Technician Provisional) certification from State Board of Pharmacy. PHAT (Pharmacy Technician) certification from State Board of Pharmacy within 18 months of hire.
• Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT).
• 3 years of Pharmacy Technician or Buyer experience.
