Responsibilities include contract compliance, reporting, supplier liaison, and recall processing, with a strong focus on accuracy and timely communication with pharmacy staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Pharmacy Tech certification in New Mexico is required.
• PTCB or NHA certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure adequate stock of pharmaceuticals.
• Serve as supplier and purchasing consultant to regional hospitals and clinics.
• Ensure contract compliance and correct pricing for all purchases.
• Provide monthly financial, purchasing, and issues reports to pharmacy administration.
• Interact with pharmaceutical representatives to ensure service levels.
• Research short-supply items and obtain emergency pharmaceuticals when required.
• Communicate with pharmacy staff on availability of pharmaceuticals.
• Process all drug recalls and stock recalls.
• Adhere to the Department Compliance Plan for Controlled Substances.
• Review wholesaler reports for unpaid invoices and track with AP.
• Conduct complete inventories and generate reports.
• Perform other functions as required.
