Overview

Travel Educator Pharmacy Lead Tech, $113K annual. Must have knowledge and experience in Specialty Drug Prior Authorizations and working the Appeals.

This role is a Patient Access Manager (also called Field Reimbursement Manager.)

Not a sales job! It is an educator and expert, assisting health care provider offices and specialty pharmacies with prior authorizations for a specialty specialty drug, and use of CoverMyMeds portal. The Patient Access Manager drives around to the provider offices to assist them on site.

Territory covers the Greater Little Rock area, down to Jackson MS and Shreveport La. Live in the LIttle Rock area. This position base pay is $113K

PRIORITY given to candidates experienced in the specialty drug prior auth process and familiar with the CoverMyMeds portal

The best candidate will be an expert in Specialty drug Prior Authorizations, Appeals, and working denials, with territory management experience, and experience training and educating provider office staff.

Responsibilities

• 1) Determination to work through all roadblocks and barriers to get the medications approved and paid for.
• 2) Expertise in all: Specialty Drug Prior authorizations through portals, benefits investigations , Medicaid and Medicare Part D, working appeals and denials.
• 3) 2+ years experience in: escalations, education, Patient Assistance program approvals , foundation coverage, guidelines, and reimbursement.
• 4) Ability to keep up with changes and updates to drug programs, new FDA indications, miscellaneous J-codes, and payer policy changes that impact reimbursement.
• 5) Degree is not required.
