Job summary

The University of Kansas, School of Pharmacy, Department of Pharmacy Practice, seeks a 12-month Clinical Assistant Professor on the Lawrence, Kansas campus to teach in skills-related coursework within the didactic curriculum.

Responsibilities include coordinating Pharmacy Practice Skills Lab instruction, developing simulations, assessing student performance, advising students, maintaining lab equipment, and serving on department and school committees. On-site instruction is required on campus.

Qualifications

• Terminal degree in Pharmacy (PharmD from an ACPE-accredited school or BS in Pharmacy for pre-2000 graduates).
• Demonstrated ability to teach professional students or colleagues (evidence via teaching/presentation experience).
• Licensed pharmacist in Kansas or eligibility to obtain licensure within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and instruct courses in the Pharm.D. curriculum as assigned by the Chair/Designee.
• Collaborate with colleagues teaching in the Pharmacy Skills series.
• Provide assessment support for live performance assessments across the curriculum.
