The University of Kansas School of Pharmacy seeks a full-time, non-tenure-track Clinical Assistant or Associate Professor to deliver high-quality learning experiences for PharmD students. The role includes teaching, service, and scholarly activities and collaboration with experiential education leadership, preceptors, and sites in the KU system.

The position also serves as Regional Program Coordinator for Region 1 (Manhattan, Topeka, Lawrence, KC Metro) with travel to preceptors and sites;

Qualifikationen

• Terminal degree in Pharmacy (PharmD) or PhD in health/healthcare field.
• Record of effectiveness in teaching.
• Experience in Experiential Education or equivalent.
• Two years of management or leadership experience.
• Strategic vision for experiential education or learning.
• Experience with databases.
• Demonstrated mentorship/precepting.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Must be licensed as a registered pharmacist in the State of Kansas or obtain licensure within 90 days of start date.
• Track record of effectiveness in clinical pharmacy practice.

Aufgaben

• Develop, coordinate, and manage student rotation schedules.
• Maintain onboarding and support of experiential rotation sites.
• Oversee experiential education policies, procedures, and rotation syllabi.
• Coordinate assessment and quality improvement for preceptors/sites.
• Utilize experiential education management systems and websites.
• Recruit and retain preceptors; conduct site visits.
• Design and implement preceptor development programs.
• Maintain understanding of contemporary pharmacy practice to mentor students.
