Job summary

Cynet Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to cover inpatient pharmacy needs on a 13-week assignment. Duties include preparing batches, refilling dispensing cabinets, and compounding sterile and hazardous medications.

The technician will also deliver medications to nursing units and manage unit dosing from stock bottles.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of inpatient pharmacy technician experience.
• IV compounding experience required.
• Pharmacy Technician License is required.
• BLS (AHA) certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare batches and refill automated dispensing cabinets.
• Compound sterile and nonsterile products; handle hazardous medications.
• Field phone calls and deliver medications to nursing units.
• Unit-dose medications from stock bottles for patient administration.
• Overnight shift with 7-on, 7-off rotation; weekend coverage as needed.

Description:Hiring Process includes a profile review and interview with the unit manager.The pharmacy technician will cover inpatient pharmacy and all areas of the facility.Common duties include preparing batches and refilling automated dispensing cabinets, compounding sterile and nonsterile products, and compounding hazardous medications.The technician will field phone calls and deliver medications directly to nursing units.They will also be responsible for unit-dosing medications from stock bottles for patient administration.This position requires experience in an inpatient hospital setting, and IV compounding is essential.The pharmacy technician will be the only technician on duty overnight with one pharmacist.The shift is organized in a 7-on, 7-off rotation.Weekend coverage is required every other weekend, including holidays if the schedule overlaps.The medication dispensing system utilized is automated.Scrubs are required, with the department color specified.Orientation and specific training will be provided.The facility reserves the right to cancel shifts as per policy.The charting system used is EPIC.
