Job summary

Description:Compounds and prepares medications including sterile products, oral formulations, topical products, and controlled substances.Processes high-risk medications as authorized by a physician, under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.Delivers and exchanges medications to the respective patient area and returns unused medications to the pharmacy.Documents pharmaceutical activities including patient billing for medications and equipment.Completes quality control requirements using both automated and paper systems.Ensures accuracy of data in all documentation.Responds to and triages requests from customers for pharmacy services such as medication delivery and drug information.Operates and supports automated dispensing technology to supply correct medications for individual patients according to orders.Orders, receives, restocks, and manages inventory while rotating stock and completing expiration date management.Assists with training new employees on job-specific functions.Contributes to process improvement projects within the pharmacy.Completes regulatory compliance inspections of medication storage areas.Conducts inspections and controlled substance inventories as required.Meets USP797 and other regulatory documentation standards.
