Job summary

University of Kentucky in Lexington, KY seeks a patient support associate to handle refill calls and routine inquiries. You will document in the EHR, route requests, and help ensure timely mail-order deliveries through UK Specialty pharmacy.

Responsibilities include shipment verifications, escalating delays, and supporting patient care with strong service orientation. Remote options may be available; expected shift is primarily day, Monday–Friday.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service skills and ability to multitask.
• Experience in call center environment preferred.
• Certified Nursing Assistant, CMA or nationally certified Pharmacy Technician.

Job Summary

Answer patient phone calls regarding refill requests and other needs in Pharmacy Patient Support Services. Accurately document and route calls and faxes appropriately in the electronic health record ( EHR ). Provide excellent customer service and utilize problem solving skills to address patient requests and concerns within scope. Complete shipment verifications for UK Specialty pharmacy to ensure mail order deliveries were delivered accurately and timely. Escalate delayed shipments appropriately, if needed. Complete other tasks as needed to support patient care and the department.
