Job summary

ProCare Rx in Georgia is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support prescription inquiries, scheduling, and benefit coordination. Responsibilities include maintaining patient records, triaging to pharmacists, and ensuring timely medication delivery with providers.

Requirements include Georgia-registered technician status, high school diploma or GED, and bilingual English/Spanish. This role emphasizes confidentiality, accurate data handling, and strong knowledge of pharmacy terminology.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Georgia Registered Pharmacy Technician licensed required.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Basic computation skills.
• Strong knowledge of medical and pharmacy terminology.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Suite.
• Minimum 2 years in customer service or 1 year in a specialty pharmacy.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate records including allergies, contact information, and payment methods.
• Handle inbound calls about prescription inquiries and triage to departments as needed.
• Conduct outbound calls such as welcome calls and refill scheduling calls.
• Perform benefit investigations and coordination of benefits.
• Coordinate timely and accurate medication delivery with members and providers.
• Use systems to assist in managing medication adherence /reimbursement services.
• Direct clinical inquiries to a pharmacist.
• Act as a liaison with healthcare channels to ensure timely access to medication.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance at all times.

Job description

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES (include but are not limited to):

• Ensuring proper record maintenance including collecting allergies, contact information, and payment methods
• Handle inbound calls concerning prescription inquiries and/or triage to the appropriate departments as needed
• Conducting outbound calls such as welcome calls, refill scheduling calls and physician office follow up calls
• Perform benefit investigations and coordination of benefits
• Coordinating timely and accurate medication delivery with members and providers
• Using operating systems and other tools to assist in managing medication adherence /reimbursement services
• Directing all clinical inquiries and clinical concerns to a pharmacist
• Act as a liaison with various channels of healthcare to provide timely access of medication to the patient
• Maintain patient/member confidentiality and HIPPA compliance at all times

REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or GED is required
• Georgia Registered Pharmacy Technician is required
• Bilingual – English and Spanish
• Basic computation skills
• Strong knowledge of medical and pharmacy terminology
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office or Google Suite
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a customer service setting or minimum of 1 year in a specialty pharmacy setting

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Ability to sit for a minimum of (7) hours
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 20lbs
• Ability to multitask
