Job summary

Amber Specialty Pharmacy seeks a Patient Access Technician Intake for its Operations department in Omaha, NE. This Pharmacy Technician Apprenticeship Program offers paid training, hands-on experience, and full support to become a Certified Pharmacy Technician.

We operate Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm CST with occasional 10am–7pm shifts. Wages range from $20.00 to $24.00 hourly; six paid holidays. Must pass pre-employment drug tests and background checks. This is an office-based role within Operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Active state pharmacy technician registration/licensure.
• National or state pharmacy technician certification.
• Familiarity with Medicare/Medicaid/insurance terminology is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Route incoming documentation for new patients, refills, and additional forms.
• Explain company programs and services to referral sources and providers.
• Coordinate insurance verification, prior authorizations, and funding sources.
• Enter data into tracking software and escalate to clinical staff as needed.
• Notify staff of information affecting patient care and funding.
