Job summary

Amber Specialty Pharmacy is hiring a Fulfillment Pharmacy Technician in a full-time capacity. The role supports the pharmacy team under supervision to ensure accurate prescription processing and regulatory compliance.

Apprenticeship program offers paid training, hands-on experience, and assistance to obtain certification, with shifts 8am-7pm on weekdays and hourly pay between $20.00 and $24.00.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current unrestricted state pharmacy technician registration/licensure.
• National or state pharmacy technician certification as required by state law.
• Experience with pharmacy software and prescription adjudication is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Under the supervision of the pharmacist, assists in pharmacy practice in accordance with state, federal, and Company policy.
• Operates pharmacy systems and software to obtain patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and perform other necessary functions on the system per policies and regulations.
• Reviews and researches invalid prescriptions to determine needed information.
• Contacts the provider or patient to obtain accurate information to continue processing the prescription.
• Triage and resolve issues or concerns relating to invalid prescriptions, insurance, and approvals.
