Job summary

Remedy is seeking a Pharmacy Packaging Clerk in Syracuse to process and package prescriptions with accuracy and efficiency, while maintaining patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.

In this role you will support the packaging team, aim to complete 800–1000 prescriptions per 8‑hour shift after training, and report any concerns to the Compliance Officer. The position offers base pay and a comprehensive benefits package.

The Pharmacy Packaging Clerk is an instrumental role at Propel Syracuse because it ensures that our pharmacy operates efficiently while delivering a high-quality level of care. In the Pharmacy Packaging Clerk role, you will be processing and packaging prescriptions or paperwork with accuracy, attention to detail and efficiency.

• The base pay range for this position is $17.50 per hour**

**Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. An annual incentive plan and stock options may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.

What you get to do every day

• Assist with processing and packaging prescriptions or paperwork with accuracy, attention to detail, and efficiency
• Prioritize or multitask to complete the processing for time-sensitive medications
• Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
• Performs duties of the Material Handler as required
• Pack 800 – 1000 prescriptions in an 8 hour shift (after 1 month in role and training completed)
• Report any misconduct, suspicious or unethical activities to the Compliance Officer
• Ensure ongoing compliance with all laws and regulations; ensure that the pharmacy meets or exceeds accreditation standards; and implement “best practices” in all pharmacy activities
• Participate in the pharmacy’s performance improvement program as requested by the Performance Improvement Coordinator
• Regular and predictable attendance
• Adherence to the assigned work schedule
• Other duties as assigned

What you bring to the role

• Ability to evaluate options and make efficient decisions
• Less than 1 year of packaging experience
• Organizational skills sufficient to maintain consistently accurate records
• Computer skills that include proficiency with multiple programs and use of the internet and email

Physical Requirements

• Manual dexterity, arm and upper body range of motion sufficient for use of a keyboard, mouse and telephone 7-8 hours per day
• Speech and hearing sufficient for in-person communication 7-8 hours per day
• Vision sufficient for use of a computer monitor
• Ability to sit or stand at a desk for 7-8 hours per day
• Ability to lift 50-60lbs
