Job summary

CommuniCare Health Services is seeking a Pharmacy Order Entry Technician for the Evening Shift (2:30pm–11pm) in Ohio. This role ensures accurate order entry, resident data management, and responsive phone support for facility and resident services.

Responsibilities include inputting new and refill orders, triaging calls and faxes, and maintaining pharmacy records to support Staff Pharmacist reviews. Must be a registered Ohio Tech with strong attention to detail and communication.

Qualifications

• Must be a registered or certified Ohio Pharmacy Technician
• Experience in pharmacy or related fields
• LTC pharmacy experience a plus
• Strong analytical and critical thinking
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong organizational skills
• High School or Equivalent

Responsibilities

• Review and input new/readmitted residents' information to dispense medications safely and cost-effectively.
• Maintain resident information in the pharmacy computer system and update as required.
• Use proper phone etiquette to provide facility/resident services.
• Triage patient calls to appropriate party.
• Answer phones and respond to order inquiries.
• Enter new and refill orders into the pharmacy system for Staff Pharmacist review.
• Maintain customers’ information in the system and update as needed.
• Place outbound calls to facilities to clarify orders.
• Triage incoming faxes promptly and accurately.
• Establish and maintain good working relationships with billing operations specialists

Under general supervision of an Order Entry Supervisor, and in accordance with local, state, federal and company laws and regulations ensure delivery of excellent customer service through fast, professional and accurate communication.
