PharMerica is seeking a part-time Pharmacy Order Entry Technician in Bensenville, IL to join a closed-door pharmacy team serving long‑term care and senior living clients. You will enter and verify orders, perform basic drug calculations, and assist with claims within a compliant, customer-focused environment.

The role offers a fixed Saturday, Sunday and Tuesday shift, with benefits including health, dental, vision Insurance, 401(k), tuition reimbursement, and more.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Pharmacy Technician license as required by state.
• Experience in a pharmacy setting and familiarity with medical terminology.
• Ability to operate a computer and recognize medications.

Responsibilities

• Enter and verify medication orders in a computerized system with accuracy.
• Perform basic drug calculations and dosage conversions.
• Investigate and resolve pharmacy claim denials; follow up in POS systems.

As a Pharmacy Order Entry Technician you will:

• Enter and verify medication orders in a computerized system with a high level of accuracy and efficiency.
• Conduct basic drug calculations, including dosage and conversion tasks.
• Investigate and resolve pharmacy claim denials; perform follow-up actions in POS systems.
• Stay current with Medicaid claim regulations and ensure compliance in processing.
• Track unpaid or delayed claims; generate reports for management.
• Provide excellent customer service in line with company values and policies.
• Assist with medication preparation and dispensing under Pharmacist supervision.
• Support additional pharmacy tasks and operations as directed by management.

Qualifications

Required:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Pharmacy Technician license as required by state
• Experience in a pharmacy setting and medical terminology.
• Ability to operate a computer; recognize and identify medications.
• Detail oriented; goal oriented, team player, and effective oral communication.

Desired:

• Long Term Care pharmacy experience.
