PharMerica in Indianapolis, IN is hiring Licensed Pharmacy Order Entry Technicians for our non-retail pharmacy team. You will triage orders, input into our medication order system, and support pharmacists to ensure accuracy.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, basic drug knowledge, and strong customer service. Schedule options include two shifts; benefits include comprehensive insurance, 401(k), tuition discounts, and DailyPay.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Pharmacy related experience preferred.
• Basic understanding of drugs, terminology, and metrics; computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Triage, interpret and input orders into the computerized medication order system with accuracy and productivity.
• Perform drug calculations including basic math (mg conversions).
• Resolve denial issues identified through adjudication and follow-up on POS claims.
• Maintain knowledge of Medicaid claim regulations and processes.
• Produce reports and keep management informed of unpaid or pending claims.
• Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
• Assist with drug preparation and dispensing under pharmacist supervision.

Monday - Friday, 9:30am - 6:00pm OR Monday - Friday, 10:00am - 6:30pm

Responsibilities

• Triage, interpret and input orders into computerized medication order system while meeting accuracy and productivity standards of the pharmacy. Audits input versus documentation and makes corrections as needed
• Performs drug calculations including basic mathematical calculations (e.g., converting milligrams)
• May resolve issues of denials identified through adjudication, and follow-up claims in Point of Sale (POS)
• Maintains current knowledge of Medicaid claim regulations and processes
• May produce reports and keep management informed of unpaid claims and claims pending follow-up
• Provides excellent customer service to external and internal customers in accordance with company values
• May assist with drug preparation and dispensing under the direct supervision of a Pharmacist
• Performs other tasks as assigned, which can include assisting in any area of the pharmacy as directed by management

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Pharmacy related experience
• Basic understanding of drugs, medication terminology, and metric system; ability to operate a computer
• Licenses/Certifications: As required by state regulations and business needs
• Detail oriented; goal oriented, team player, customer service, oral communication
