PharMerica in Indianapolis is hiring Licensed Pharmacy Order Entry Technicians to join our non-retail pharmacy team. You will triage, input orders into the computerized system, perform drug calculations, and support pharmacists under supervision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Pharmacy related experience preferred.
• Basic understanding of drugs, terminology, and metric system; able to operate a computer.
• Licenses/certifications as required by state regulations and business needs.
• Detail oriented; goal oriented; team player; customer service; oral communication.

Responsibilities

• Triage, interpret and input orders into the computerized medication order system with accuracy and productivity standards.
• Perform drug calculations including basic math (e.g., milligrams).
• Resolve denial issues identified through adjudication and follow-up claims in POS.
• Maintain knowledge of Medicaid claim regulations and processes.
• Produce reports and keep management informed of unpaid or pending claims.
• Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers per company values.
• Assist with drug preparation and dispensing under supervision of a Pharmacist.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management.

Monday - Friday, 9:30am - 6:00pm OR

Monday - Friday, 10:00am - 6:30pm

Responsibilities

• Performs drug calculations including basic mathematical calculations (e.g., converting milligrams)
• May resolve issues of denials identified through adjudication, and follow-up claims in Point of Sale (POS)
• Maintains current knowledge of Medicaid claim regulations and processes
• May produce reports and keep management informed of unpaid claims and claims pending follow-up
• Provides excellent customer service to external and internal customers in accordance with company values
• May assist with drug preparation and dispensing under the direct supervision of a Pharmacist
• Performs other tasks as assigned, which can include assisting in any area of the pharmacy as directed by management

• Pharmacy related experience
• Basic understanding of drugs, medication terminology, and metric system; ability to operate a computer
