Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be registered as a Florida Pharmacy Technician.
• National Pharmacy Tech certification preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of prior Pharmacy Technician experience in order entry.
• Knowledge of basic pharmacy order entry practices and procedures.
• Knowledge of Pharmacy medications and medical supplies.
• Strong mathematical computation skills.
• Knowledge of record-keeping techniques.
• Ability to analyze problems, interpret data and develop solutions.
• Accurate typing.

Responsibilities

• Enter prescriptions into the system in a timely manner.
• Triage prescriptions and clinical data appropriately.
• Ensuring accuracy of prescription information and maintaining patient profiles.
• Telephone outreach to doctor offices and patients.
• Manage various pharmacy programs and assess workflow.
• Assist pharmacists and other pharmacy technicians.
• Other responsibilities as directed by Pharmacy Manager based on business needs.
