Responsibilities
  1. Perform day-to-day non-clinical pharmacy operations, administrative activities, ensuring efficient workflow and positive patient experience. Serve as a full-time certified pharmacy technician.
  2. Operate pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, process prescriptions under pharmacist supervision, and supervise pharmacy technicians and cashiers within legal and company guidelines.
  3. Manage pharmacy technician personnel, including hiring, training, scheduling, coaching, and performance management, including disciplinary actions.
  4. Enhance customer experience by engaging with customers, resolving complaints, and proactively offering services to meet their needs.
  5. Assist pharmacists in delivering patient care, managing pharmacy operations, ensuring compliance, and supporting healthcare services like vaccinations and health screenings.
  6. Lead performance management of staff, ensuring compliance with legal and company policies, and support team development.
  7. Maintain certifications, stay updated on pharmacy practices, and pursue professional development.
  8. Communicate effectively with team members, participate in meetings, and ensure proper documentation and recordkeeping.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • PTCB or ExCPT certification (except in Puerto Rico)
  • At least one year of pharmacy technician experience in retail or hospital setting
  • Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking)
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • Previous leadership experience
  • Prior Walgreens experience with exceeding expectations in last performance evaluation
