Responsibilities

1. Perform day-to-day non-clinical pharmacy operations and administrative activities, ensuring efficient workflow and a positive patient experience. Serve as a full-time certified pharmacy technician where laws permit.
2. Operate pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions under pharmacist supervision, managing pharmacy technicians and cashiers within legal and company guidelines.
3. Lead the selection, scheduling, training, coaching, and performance management of pharmacy technicians, including disciplinary actions when necessary.
4. Engage with customers by greeting, assisting, resolving complaints, and providing excellent service. Develop relationships and promote healthcare services.
5. Assist pharmacists with patient care tasks, including prescription processing, medication preparation, and health services like vaccinations and screenings, within legal boundaries.
6. Manage pharmacy operations, including scheduling, inventory, recordkeeping, and compliance, ensuring cleanliness and readiness of the pharmacy.
7. Lead performance management, hiring, training, and ensuring licensure and certifications are maintained.
8. Maintain professional development and certifications, seeking ongoing education and training.
9. Communicate effectively with team members, participate in meetings, and support community outreach initiatives.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• PTCB or ExCPT certification (except in Puerto Rico).
• At least one year of pharmacy technician experience in retail or hospital setting.
• Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

Preferred

• Leadership experience.
• Previous Walgreens experience with high performance evaluations.
