Job summary

Regional Hospital of Scranton seeks an Inpatient Pharmacy Manager to provide pharmaceutical care to patients and lead education and quality assurance activities within the department.

The ideal candidate is a graduate of an accredited college of pharmacy; Pharm.D. is preferred, with ASHP residency or BPS certification preferred, and BLS certification. Experience with hazardous materials and cytotoxic drug preparation is valued.

Regional Hospital of Scranton - Inpatient Pharmacy Manager Opportunity

Position Purpose:

Provides pharmaceutical care to the patients of Regional Hospital of Scranton. Coordinates education and quality assurance and improvement activities for the department.

Position Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited college of pharmacy.
• Pharm.D. preferred.
• Completion of an ASHP-accredited residency preferred.
• BPS certification preferred. BLS certificate.
• At least one of the following required: Pharm.D. from ACPE- accredited school of pharmacy, ASHP-accredited residency, Certification from BPS or as a Certified Geriatric Pharmacist, Certified Diabetes Educator, CE certificates of completion Of all 16 PSAP-II Pharmacotherapy Self-Assessment Clinical Units.
• At least 2 years of healthcare system pharmacy experience preferred.
• Potential exposure to hazardous materials such as cytotoxic drugs and bulk chemicals.
• Prepares cytotoxic drugs in a Class IIA vertical hood.
