Penn Medicine’s Pharmacy Department seeks a Senior Operations Administrator to lead operations across assigned health system pharmacy locations and partner with clinical staff to deliver best‑in‑class patient care.
Responsibilities include coordinating day‑to‑day operations, staff coverage, data reporting, SOP development, and regulatory compliance with agencies such as Joint Commission and FDA. Ten or more years in pharmacy and a PA technician license are required.

The Pharmacy Department processes millions of orders per year across multiple service lines and sites of care across UPHS. The Senior Operations Administrator will be primarily responsible for managing operations for assigned health system pharmacy locations. This includes partnering with pharmacy/hospital personnel, pharmacy leadership, or designees to maintain best‑in‑class pharmacy care to patients of Penn Medicine. The Senior Operations Administrator will coordinate all aspects of pharmacy operations, manage relationships with clinics, physicians, nurses, and clinical pharmacist specialists to achieve best outcomes for patients, support process improvements and strategic initiatives related to operational efficiency, partner with the Pharmacy Department Senior Management to monitor performance across key performance metrics, assist in strategic planning within the department, contribute to hiring, training, and onboarding of staff, and design processes and workflows that support ongoing regulatory compliance with multiple agencies including the Joint Commission, Utilization Review Accreditation Commission, Department of Health, Food and Drug Administration, Board of Pharmacy, and United States Pharmacopeia.
