Responsibilities
- Perform day-to-day non-clinical pharmacy operations and administrative activities, ensuring efficient workflow and a positive patient experience. Serve as a full-time certified pharmacy technician where allowed by law.
- Operate pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions under pharmacist supervision. Supervise pharmacy technicians and cashiers within legal and company guidelines.
- Manage pharmacy technician staffing, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management, including disciplinary actions.
- Engage with customers to provide assistance, resolve complaints, and promote healthcare services to enhance customer experience.
- Assist in delivering patient care activities such as prescription processing, patient registration, and health screenings, under pharmacist supervision.
- Ensure compliance with policies, laws, and regulations; manage inventory and pharmacy records; coordinate daily operations; and support technology and process improvements.
- Lead performance management of team members, including disciplinary actions and training, ensuring licensure and certification compliance.
- Maintain professional development through certifications and training, and participate in team meetings and communication channels.
Minimum Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- PTCB or ExCPT certification (except in Puerto Rico).
- At least one year of pharmacy technician experience in retail or hospital setting.
- Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking).
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Previous leadership experience and familiarity with Walgreens preferred.
