Job summary

S27a is seeking a Pharmacy Manager, Pharmacy Practice & Operations to lead daily pharmacy operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and serve as the Pharmacist in Charge. The role oversees clinical practice, workflow optimization, and team mentorship in a fast-paced environment.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to align operations with organizational goals, drive quality assurance, and contribute to strategic initiatives that enhance patient care and fulfillment efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy, information technology, engineering, or related field; equivalent experience accepted.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in pharmacy operations, informatics, or automation systems management.
• Proven success coordinating technology initiatives in a regulated pharmacy fulfillment environment.
• Experience supporting pharmacy management systems (e.g., Epic, EnterpriseRx, PioneerRx, Parata, ScriptPro, or similar).
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
• Travel to alternate pharmacy sites, conferences, and meetings as needed, typically <20%

Responsibilities

• Lead daily pharmacy operations with a focus on safety, accuracy, and efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, including Board of Pharmacy requirements.
• Serve as the designated Pharmacist in Charge (PIC), maintaining licensure and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize fulfillment workflows and inventory management.
• Mentor and develop pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Implement and monitor quality assurance programs to ensure high standards of patient care and fulfillment accuracy.
• Support strategic initiatives that enhance pharmacy services, operational scalability, and customer satisfaction.
• Act as a liaison between pharmacy operations and corporate leadership, contributing insights and recommendations.
