Job summary

Walgreens Co. is seeking a Pharmacy Manager in California to ensure accurate dispensing, regulatory compliance, and high-quality patient care. You will lead a pharmacy team, optimize workflows, and oversee clinical services including immunizations and disease state management.

Qualifications

BS in Pharmacy or PharmD from an accredited institution.
Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district.
Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.
At least 1 year pharmacy experience including prescription filling, recordkeeping, legal compliance, pharmacy operations, software and insurance billing.
Experience with prescription dispensing and knowledge of state/federal controlled substance laws.

Responsibilities

Engage patients with pharmacy services to ensure a positive experience.
Counsel on medication usage, interactions, and safety; refer to medical providers as needed.
Perform compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification and medication management.
Maintain regulatory compliance and efficient workflow; oversee staff scheduling and operations.
Lead and develop pharmacy staff through training, coaching, and performance reviews.
Disseminate information on immunizations and clinical services to patients and providers.
