Job summary

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is seeking an experienced Pharmacy Manager to lead clinical pharmacy operations, supervise staff, and ensure safe, cost-effective medication use across the department.

You will oversee prescribing safety, workflow efficiency, and collaboration with physicians and nurses to optimize patient care, while guiding policy development and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Pharmacy with at least 3 years of pharmacy experience.
• Doctor of Pharmacy with at least 3 years of pharmacy experience.
• Pharmacist license for WA upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor pharmacy operations and budget aligned with strategic goals.
• Educate and supervise pharmacists and technicians; participate in competency assessment.
• Collaborate with health care providers to individualize medication therapies.
• Provide training, in-services, and educational programs; participate in medical staff meetings.
• Oversee drug formulary management and ensure compliance with guidelines.
• Manage purchasing, storing, preparation, and dispensing of all medications and parenteral products.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations (340B, USP <797> and <800>).
