Job summary

Walgreens in Quitman, TX is seeking a full-time Certified Pharmacy Technician to support day-to-day non-clinical operations, ensure efficient workflow and deliver a positive patient experience.

Under pharmacist supervision, you will handle prescription processing, data entry, and participate in vaccination and health services as allowed by law. This role requires PTCB certification and 1 year of retail/hospital tech experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• PTCB certification (unless in Puerto Rico).
• At least 1 year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist in patient care activities including registration, prescription data entry, preparation of medications, counting and verification where allowed by law.
• Under pharmacist supervision, delegate non-clinical tasks to technicians and ensure timely workflow.
