Job summary

Johns Hopkins Medicine's Care at Home division seeks a Pharmacy Operations Coordinator (Assistant Manager) to oversee daily pharmacy operations and support the Clinical Pharmacy Manager. Responsibilities include interpreting prescriptions, compounding and dispensing, and providing medication information to patients and professionals. Qualified candidates hold a Pharm.D.

or B.S. in Pharmacy, MD license, CPR, and vaccination certification (within six months).

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Pharm.D. required.
Licensed to practice pharmacy in Maryland.
Vaccination certification preferred or required within six months of employment.
Active CPR certification.
Two years retail outpatient pharmacy experience preferred.
Familiar with computer databases for retrieving clinical patient information and dispensing in a retail setting.
Knowledge of state/federal laws and regulations pertaining to drugs.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily operations of the pharmacy.
Interpret prescriptions, compound and dispense medications per orders.
Provide essential medication information to patients and healthcare professionals.
Under supervision, manage pharmacy operations in the manager's absence.
