Job Details

The Pharmacy Network Reimbursement Analyst is directly responsible for developing and managing data analytics for payer contracts. Conducts analysis and compilation of key business indicators tied to reimbursement strategies, tracks payer reimbursement after new contracts are implemented, and continuously monitors existing contracts. Assists with administering payer contracting operations and supports additional pharmacy programs as needed.

Location: Remote, USA

Hours: Must be able to accommodate 6am-3pm PST

Responsibilities:
  1. Design, develop, and implement strategic contract analytics and reimbursement models to identify areas for contract improvement and validation.
  2. Analyze and interpret internal and external data sources to assess reimbursement, gross profit, market position, and market share, aiding in contract negotiations and decision-making.
  3. Identify reimbursement trends and make data-driven recommendations regarding contracts.
  4. Collaborate with Cencora data teams to define data requirements and generate reports to measure payer contract compliance.
  5. Review external data feeds (e.g., IQVIA) to improve methods of tracking and reporting contract-related information.
  6. Communicate results and implications to management and internal teams effectively.
  7. Assist in developing contract presentation materials for regional and national meetings, trade shows, and conventions.
  8. Prepare pre-negotiation data gathering and contract analysis.
  9. Support negotiations with payers and propose new program opportunities.
  10. Monitor customer activity using multiple systems and data feeds.
  11. Develop and maintain relationships with peer contacts at PBMs and payers involved in pharmacy network contracting.
  12. Identify and resolve business issues through data analysis, and review program data to find opportunities for sales and stakeholders.
  13. Participate in setting and supporting overall objectives and long-term goals of Cencora.
  14. Engage in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
Education:

Broad training in business administration, accounting, finance, or related fields, typically obtained through a four-year bachelor's degree. Usually requires at least 3 years of related, progressive experience. Depending on the role, may require knowledge of pharmaceutical distribution, inventory management, supply chain operations, reverse logistics, pharmacy reimbursement, and current business challenges faced by pharmacies.

Skills:
  • Knowledge of Cencora products, programs, and services preferred.
  • Understanding of various customer segments.
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Advanced skills in financial tracking, modeling, and profitability analysis using Excel.
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written, across all organizational levels.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and customer service management.
  • Proficiency in navigating multiple systems and consolidating data from various sources.
  • Experience with relational databases, query tools, or BI software (e.g., MicroStrategy, AQT).

Salary Range*

$72,200 - 103,290

*This range reflects a national average; actual salaries may vary based on location, potentially up to 10% lower or 12% higher depending on the state.
