Job Details

The Pharmacy Network Reimbursement Analyst is directly responsible for developing and managing data analytics for payer contracts. Conducts analysis and compilation of key business indicators tied to reimbursement strategies, tracks payer reimbursement following new contract implementations, and monitors existing contracts. Supports pharmacy programs and assists with payer contracting operations as needed.

Must be able to accommodate 6am-3pm PST

Responsibilities:
  1. Design, develop, and implement strategic contract analytics and reimbursement models to identify areas for contract improvement and validation.
  2. Analyze internal and external data sources to assess reimbursement, gross profit, market position, and market share to enhance negotiations and support data-driven decisions.
  3. Identify reimbursement trends and recommend contract adjustments based on data analysis.
  4. Collaborate with Cencora data teams to define data requirements and reports for measuring payer compliance.
  5. Review external data feeds (e.g., IQVIA) to improve tracking and reporting methods.
  6. Communicate results and implications to management and internal teams.
  7. Develop contract presentation materials for regional and national meetings, trade shows, and conventions.
  8. Prepare for negotiations through data gathering and analysis.
  9. Support negotiations with payers and propose new program opportunities.
  10. Monitor customer activity using multiple internal systems and third-party data feeds.
  11. Build and maintain relationships with PBMs and payers involved in pharmacy network contracting.
  12. Use data analysis to identify and resolve business issues related to agreements and programs.
  13. Contribute to the development of Cencora’s long-term objectives.
  14. Participate in special projects and perform additional duties as assigned.
Education:

Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or related fields, along with at least 3 years of relevant experience. Background in pharmaceutical distribution, inventory management, supply chain, reverse logistics, and pharmacy reimbursement is preferred.

Skills:
  1. Knowledge of Cencora products, programs, and services is preferred.
  2. Understanding of various customer segments.
  3. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  4. Strong organizational, analytical, and attention to detail skills.
  5. Advanced financial analysis skills, including Excel modeling and profitability calculations.
  6. Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
  7. Interpersonal skills and customer service management.
  8. Proficiency in navigating multiple systems and data sources.
  9. Experience with relational databases and BI software (e.g., MicroStrategy, AQT).

Salary Range*

$72,200 - 103,290 (varies by location)
