Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Manager in Cheyenne, WY to lead a high-performing team and ensure safe, accurate dispensing and exemplary patient care. You will oversee operations, inventory, and regulatory compliance while driving service excellence and expanded health services in the community.

The role emphasizes staff development, performance management, and collaboration with the Store Manager to grow the pharmacy’s clinical offerings and financial performance.

Qualifications

• BS in Pharmacy or Pharm D Degree from an accredited institution.
• Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district.
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become one within 90 days of hire.
• At least 1 year pharmacy experience including prescription filling, recordkeeping, legal compliance, pharmacy operations, software/tech systems and insurance billing.
• Experience with prescription dispensing and knowledge of state/federal controlled substance laws.
• Leadership ratings on last performance review (if available) and no disciplinary actions in last 12 months (internal candidates only).

Responsibilities

• Counsel patients on medicine usage, side effects, interactions, contraindications, generics, and OTC products.
• Perform pharmacist tasks including compounding, drug reviews, verification, and medication management.
• Review, interpret, and dispense prescribed medications accurately.
• Ensure pharmacy operations comply with regulations and company policies; oversee staffing and shift changes.
• Ensure Good Faith Dispensing compliance with laws when filling prescriptions.
• Collaborate with Store Manager on strategic opportunities and growth.
• Maintain pharmacy IT knowledge and support staff with technology and inventory.
