Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacist Manager to oversee pharmacy operations, patient consultations, immunizations, and medication management. The role emphasizes staff leadership, compliance, and expanding health services within the store environment.

The ideal candidate holds a BS in Pharmacy or PharmD, is licensed in the district states, and has at least 1 year of pharmacy experience including dispensing, billing, and pharmacy software proficiency.

Qualifications

BS in Pharmacy or Pharm D degree from an accredited institution.
Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district.
Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.
At least 1 year pharmacy experience including prescription filling, recordkeeping, legal compliance, pharmacy operations, pharmacy software and technology systems and insurance billing.

Responsibilities

Engages patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services; resolves issues for a positive experience.
Counsels patients on medication usage, interactions, adverse effects, and OTC products, referring to medical providers when needed.
Performs pharmacist tasks including compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management.
Ensures regulatory compliance and efficient pharmacy workflow; manages staff scheduling and shift changes.
Oversees training, performance reviews, and leadership development of pharmacy staff; drives pharmacy services expansion.
