Qualifications

• BS in Pharmacy or Pharm D degree from an accredited institution.
• Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district.
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become one within 90 days.
• At least 1 year pharmacy experience including prescription filling, recordkeeping, compliance, operations, software and insurance billing.
• Experience dispensing medications with knowledge of state and federal controlled substance laws.
• Internal candidates: leadership rating and no disciplinary actions in last 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Counsels patients on medication use, side effects, interactions and safety.
• Performs compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification and medication management.
• Dispenses prescribed meds accurately and in compliance with regulations.
• Oversees pharmacy workflow, staff scheduling and helpful process improvements.
• Develops relationships with local medical community and promotes health services.
