Job summary

Veracity Solutions in Bronx, NY seeks a Pharmacist In Charge to oversee daily pharmacy operations, review prescriptions, maintain inventory, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. The role leads and schedules pharmacy technicians and manages daily workflow to ensure accurate dispensing and high service levels.

Ideal candidates hold a Doctor of Pharmacy degree, an active New York Pharmacist license, and 3–5 years of retail management experience, with 5+ years preferred.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of retail pharmacy management experience; 5+ years preferred
• Active NY Pharmacist License required
• Doctor of Pharmacy degree (PharmD)
• Experience leading and managing pharmacy technicians
• Experience using a Pharmacy Patient Management System

Responsibilities

• Review and approve prescriptions for appropriateness, accuracy, and legality
• Prepare and dispense medications with correct dosages and materials
• Organize pharmacy products for efficient identification and dispensing
• Manage medication inventory, stocking, labeling, monitoring, and preventing expiration
• Communicate with customers to provide medication information and guidance
• Maintain accurate patient profiles and dispensing histories
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and fraud, waste, and abuse requirements
• Ensure pharmacy operations comply with all applicable laws and policies
• Direct daily activities and workflow of Pharmacy Technicians
• Provide input on technician performance and communicate concerns to Senior Management
• Manage Pharmacy Technician schedules and leave/accommodation requests
• Perform other pharmacy-related duties as assigned
