Walgreens Co. in California seeks a capable Pharmacist Manager to oversee dispensing, immunizations, and clinical services. You’ll drive patient engagement, ensure regulatory compliance, and supervise staff to deliver high-quality care in a fast-paced community setting.

You will manage workflow, optimize inventory and billing, and partner with leadership to expand health services and improve patient outcomes. Strong knowledge of pharmacy systems and third-party billing is essential.

Qualifications

• BS in Pharmacy or Pharm D from an accredited educational institution.
• Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district.
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.
• At least 1 year pharmacy experience including prescription filling, recordkeeping, legal compliance, pharmacy operations, pharmacy software and technology systems and insurance billing.

Responsabilités

• Engages patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services, resolving issues for a positive experience.
• Counsels patients on medicine usage, side effects, interactions, and privacy, and refers to providers when needed.
• Performs compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management.
• Ensures regulatory compliance and efficient workflow, staffing, and shift changes.
• Maintains pharmacy systems knowledge and supports staff with technology and productivity improvements.
• Manages insurance claims to prevent rejections and handles third-party audits.
• Collaborates with managers to grow health services and community engagement.
