Qualifications

• Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district.
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.
• At least 1 year pharmacy experience including prescription filling, recordkeeping, legal compliance, pharmacy operations, software and insurance billing.
• Experience performing prescription dispensing activities with knowledge of state and federal controlled substance laws.
• Internal candidates: expectations on leadership behaviors from the last performance review.

Responsibilities

• Counsel patients on medicine usage, side effects, interactions, and privacy.
• Perform compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management.
• Dispense prescribed medications accurately and review for accuracy.
• Ensure compliant operations with regulations and company policies; manage workflow and staffing.
• Process insurance claims and resolve issues with payers and providers.
• Engage with community and healthcare providers to promote Walgreens services.
