Job summary

Publix Pharmacy is seeking an Assistant Pharmacy Manager in Oregon to lead a patient-centric team focused on immunizations, MTM, and comprehensive pharmacist services. The role emphasizes strategic oversight, staff development, and delivering best-in-class care in a fast-paced retail environment.

You'll drive inventory control, scheduling, and performance metrics while empowering your team to deliver personalized patient care and preventative services within Publix' community-focused culture.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Graduate of a school of pharmacy.
• Must have and maintain an unrestricted state pharmacist license.
• Must not have active suspensions, sanctions, or other restrictions related to participation in a private, federal, or state health insurance program upon hire and thereafter and
• Must not have received an unacceptable result on a company-sponsored drug test within the last three years.
• Be an immunizing pharmacist meeting the requirements as established by the state (or be scheduled to become an immunizer in the next set of training classes)
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to interpret and understand instructions and solve problems
• Numerical and financial aptitude
• Knowledge of retail merchandising and inventory control

Responsibilities

• Drive pharmacy department success by executing strategy and prioritizing tasks in the absence of the Pharmacy Manager.
• Provide best-in-class service with counseling, build relationships, promote loyalty, and offer pharmacist-led clinical services.
• Mentor and develop a high-functioning pharmacy team with developmental opportunities.
• Inspire the team to act with accountability and champion program execution and innovation.
• Manage department performance including scheduling and task assignment to meet complex operations.
• Monitor metrics related to sales and service to sustain competitive advantage.
• Serve as an expert on the pharmacy technology system for routine and complex processing.
• Manage medication on-hand inventory and maximize sales while minimizing shrink, using auto-refill and Sync Your Refills.
• Advance MTM and immunization initiatives locally.
• Participate in local health events to meet community needs.
• Maintain a flexible work-week schedule to meet customer needs.
• Assist in all other duties as assigned.
