Job summary

Qualifications

• Pharmacist licensure and credentials required by state regulations.
• Willingness to become immunizer within 90 days is required.

Responsibilities

• Counsels patients on medicine usage, side effects, interactions, contraindications, and generics.
• Performs pharmacist tasks including compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management.
• Reviews, interprets, and dispenses prescribed medications.
• Ensures regulatory compliance and efficient pharmacy workflow; manages staff scheduling and shift changes.
• Opens and closes the pharmacy; oversees Good Faith Dispensing and state/federal laws.
• Collaborates with Store Manager to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
• Maintains pharmacy IT systems knowledge and supports staff and patients.
• Ensures insurance claims are processed accurately to prevent rejections.
• Follows up with medical providers on dosages, interactions, and allergies.
• Performs immunizations, diagnostic testing, disease state management, and other healthcare services.
• Partners with centralized support for patient registration and issue resolution.
• Maintains and improves pharmacy department facilities and equipment.
• Prepares and submits records and reports required by law.

Education

BS in Pharmacy or Pharm D Degree

Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district

Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days
