Job summary

Smith’s Food & Drug Centers seeks an experienced Pharmacy Senior Certified Technician to join our Utah team. You will support health initiatives, assist pharmacists, and ensure accurate dispensing while mentoring new technicians and maintaining inventory integrity.

The role requires current national/state certification, 18+ years of age, and strong customer service with confidentiality. Opportunities for immunizations and leadership development are available within our Kroger family.

Qualifications

• Must have Pharmacy Certified Technician experience within the Kroger enterprise.
• Maintain current national and/or state registration, certification or license depending on state requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age and be professional, dependable with a positive attitude.
• Excellent communication skills with leaders and peers; ability to handle highly confidential information.
• Completion of national and/or state registration, certification or license depending upon state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Support health and wellness initiatives and HIPAA compliance.
• Assist pharmacist in responsibilities not requiring a pharmacist's professional judgement.
• Provide stellar customer experience through reception, data entry, adjudication and dispensing steps.
• Train and mentor new hire technicians; support day-to-day training.
• Manage scheduling and station rotation for hourly staff per labor forecasts.
• Oversee inventory management including orders, returns, and physical inventory prep.
• Administer immunizations where applicable by state law.
