Adventist Health in St. Helena, CA, is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to maintain and optimize medication-related technology including cabinets, carousels, packagers, and 340B databases. The role collaborates with the pharmacy buyer and QA technician on billing duties.
Two years of recent experience, a CA/OR license, and BLS certification are required; hospital pharmacy experience is preferred. The position emphasizes accuracy in medication processing and ongoing system maintenance.

Maintains and optimizes all medication-related technology, including but not limited to, cabinets, carousel, packager, medication barcode databases, and 340B-related databases. Works with the pharmacy buyer and QA technician to complete medication-related billing duties.
Education and Work Experience: High School Education/GED or equivalent: Preferred Associate's/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred Hospital pharmacy experience: Preferred Licenses/Certifications: State Pharmacy Technician license: Required in CA and OR Pharmaceutical Technician Board certification: Preferred in CA and OR
Installs, maintains the database, coordinates moves, and optimizes the content of all automated dispensing cabinets. Adds new and troubleshoots medication barcodes. Maintains 340B third-party vendor databases which includes the mapping of new products, correcting incorrect maps, entering manual purchase orders and reconciling split purchase orders. Trains pharmacy associates on the outpatient and/or retail prescription processing systems. Completes billing duties and fills in as a technician as needed. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
