Job summary

Trinity Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to procure, store, and distribute pharmaceuticals, IV solutions, and related supplies across Saint Joseph Mercy Health System sites. The role supports formulary management, inventory controls, and billing processes within an active hospital setting.

Responsibilities include processing orders, maintaining inventory accuracy, and collaborating with suppliers and colleagues to ensure timely delivery and safe handling of hazardous materials.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED equivalent.
• Minimum of one year education in related field, such as general business, computers, or inventory/operations management.
• Minimum of 2 years of progressively more responsible work experience as a hospital Pharmacy Technician or related experience including knowledge of the drug distribution process, experienced in drug formulary inventory control and billing processes.
• Current State of Michigan Pharmacy Technician license.

Responsibilities

• Places purchase orders and restocks pharmacy supplies.
• Manages receipt and restock of medications and supplies.
• Maintains various ordering platforms for procuring pharmaceuticals.
• Ensures products are within expiration dates and properly stored.
• Performs month-end financial reports related to inpatient inventory.
• Coordinates physical inventory and electronic billing for medications dispensed through inpatient pharmacy.
• Participates in ALS vehicle and safety coordination and regional ALS committee activities.
