Job summary

University of Michigan Medical School in Ann Arbor seeks temporary student technicians to support the Department of Pharmacy Services across areas such as Central Pharmacy, Inpatient Pharmacy and OR Pharmacy.

Responsibilities include medication preparation, dispensing, labeling, inventory, and collaboration with pharmacists and staff. Training ~6 weeks and licensing requirements apply; hybrid work may be available.

Qualifications

• Eligible applicants are current UM College of Pharmacy students and those in related programs.
• Experience as a pharmacy technician or intern is preferred.
• Must meet licensing requirements to practice as a pharmacy intern or technician.

Responsibilities

• Support preparation, compounding, packaging, storing, recording, processing, dispensing and labeling of medications under supervision.
• Interpret prescriptions, maintain documentation in health records, and assist with inventory.
• Collaborate with pharmacists, technicians and healthcare staff to ensure patient safety.
