Job summary

OU Health seeks a Pharmacy Intern PRN for the Pharmacy department to assist with preparation and distribution of medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. The role supports both inpatient and outpatient operations, focusing on accuracy, safety, and patient care.

Responsibilities include reviewing orders, preparing IV admixtures, inputting discharge prescriptions, and answering clinical questions.

Qualifications

• Detail oriented for accuracy of data and information.
• Customer service orientated.
• Physical ability to lift 50 to 100 lbs and to climb, crouch, bend, stoop, push or pull.
• Knowledge of the principles and procedures associated with pharmacology.
• Good communication skills and ability to translate technical information for the public.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist on duty with tasks for pharmacy operation.
• Input and fill prescriptions, package and deliver medications.
• Prepare adherence packaged discharge medications under supervision.
• Answer clinical questions regarding use of medications.
