Job summary

King Soopers in Colorado is seeking a Pharmacy Intern to support pharmacists, counsel customers on medications, and assist with prescription processing. You will learn under a licensed pharmacist while handling OTC recommendations and immunizations.

Active enrollment in a US pharmacy program and a current intern license are required, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain high standards of accuracy and patient safety.

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in a US school of pharmacy.
• Hold a current state issued Pharmacy Intern license.

Responsibilities

• Promote trust and respect among associates.
• Answer questions regarding products and prescribers.
• Input patient and prescription information into the pharmacy system.
• Dispense medications and provide drug counseling to customers.
• Assist with OTC recommendations and process third-party insurance information.
• Provide immunizations under supervision and stock the department.
• Notify pharmacist of any prescription incidents or safety issues.
