Job summary

Kroger's Ralphs division in San Diego seeks a Pharmacy Intern to support pharmacists in dispensing, counseling and immunization duties. You will work with patients, prescribers and insurance providers, upholding safety and accuracy in the pharmacy.

Must be actively enrolled in a US school of pharmacy and hold a Pharmacy Intern license. Part-time, on-site role with growth opportunities and benefits offered by Kroger.

• Actively enrolled in a US school of pharmacy.
• Hold a current state issued Pharmacy Intern license.

Responsibilities

• Promote trust and respect among associates.
• Create a welcoming environment for customers and answer questions about products in the department and store.
• Provide drug counseling to customers and discuss pharmaceutical products with customers and prescribers.
• Assist with immunizations under the supervision of the pharmacist.
• Input patient and prescription information into the pharmacy computer system and dispense medications.
• Handle third party insurance information and communicate with insurance companies as needed.
