Job summary

Walgreen Co. is seeking a Pharmacy Intern to support the pharmacy team by processing prescriptions under supervision and helping deliver patient care.

You will learn state and federal regulations, assist with medication management, and contribute to a positive customer experience through friendly, accurate service.

Under supervision of a licensed pharmacist, you will engage with customers, support inventory control, and participate in health services such as blood pressure checks where permitted.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a school of Pharmacy program.
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist and pharmacy team in processing prescriptions under supervision.
• Enter, third party processing, filling, and dispensing prescriptions per SOP.
• Provide patient counseling and health services within state scope of practice.
• Report prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty.
• Support inventory management and store cleanliness.
• Deliver excellent customer service and maintain store appearance.
