Job summary

Walgreens in New Jersey is seeking a Pharmacy Intern to support the pharmacist and team in delivering a best-in-class patient experience. You will learn to use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions while modeling a distinctive customer experience.

You will work under pharmacist supervision, handling patient counseling and health services within state scope of practice, and participate in inventory, cash handling, and store operations as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a School of Pharmacy program.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willing to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.
• Resolves customer issues to ensure a positive customer experience.
• Assist in the practice of pharmacy under pharmacist supervision and in accordance with policy.
• Support inventory management and adherence to company procedures.
• Report prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty and follow QA processes.
