Job summary

Walgreens in the United States is seeking a Pharmacist who provides pharmacy consulting, reviews medications for safety, and performs immunizations and preventive health services. You will ensure proper compounding, dispensing, and regulatory compliance while supporting efficient workflow and customer experience.

You will mentor staff, optimize pharmacy operations, manage insurance claims, partner with medical professionals, and engage the local community to grow Well Experience locations.

Qualifications

• Willingness to obtain a Pharm D degree prior to the start date.
• Willingness to obtain pharmacist licensure within district guidelines.
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Counsels patients on medicine usage, side effects, interactions and OTC options.
• Performs compounding, drug therapy reviews and medication management duties.
• Ensures compliance with regulations and Good Faith Dispensing standards.
• Maintains pharmacy IT systems and supports staff with technology.
• Manages insurance claims processing and resales to minimize rejections.
• Delivers immunizations and other preventive healthcare services.
