Qualifications

• PharmD degree is required prior to start date.
• Licensure as a pharmacist in relevant state boards within 90 days.
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become one within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Counsels patients and answers questions regarding usage of medicine, side effects, interactions, contraindications, patient information privacy, generics, less expensive medicines, over-the-counter products, and refers to medical provider as needed to ensure medication is taken correctly, health needs addressed, and satisfaction with service.
• Performs pharmacist tasks including compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management.
• Ensures the pharmacy operates in accordance to regulations, company policies and standards, and assists in establishing procedures to promote efficient workflow and inventory management.
• Maintains knowledge of pharmacy systems and proposes enhancements to pharmacy systems to promote productivity.
• Ensures the accurate processing of insurance claims and follows up with insurance companies and providers.
• Provides immunizations and other preventive healthcare services.
• Assists with performance data analysis and KPI reviews with management.
• Develops relationships with local medical community and participates in outreach to promote growth.
