Job summary

Qualifications

• Willingness to obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited educational institution prior to the start date in position.
• Willingness to obtain pharmacist licensure from the respective Board of Pharmacy in the states within the district within 90 days of hire per district guidelines.
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Counsels patients and answers questions regarding usage of medicine, side effects, interactions, and alternatives.
• Performs pharmacist tasks including compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management.
• Ensures pharmacy operations comply with regulations, policies and standards; assists with workflow optimization.
• Maintains knowledge of pharmacy IT systems and proposes enhancements to improve productivity.
• Handles insurance claims processing and follows up with providers and insurers to resolve issues.
